Sorry, but you are looking for something that isn't here.

I'm very proud to be a Priestess and Student of the Sacred Mists, which has been my beloved tradition, spiritual family and second home since October 2005. We are an eclectic Tradition that encorporates Celtic and Faerie elements into our practice, and also encourages students to work with and learn about other traditions and pantheons.
You can learn more about our lovely tradition by clicking the link above, and/or by going to one my page "College of the Sacred Mists" above, where I have several more of our links and information about our College and my own personal journey with the Mists.
Namaste!

Sacred Mists Tradition
I'm a lot of things. A University Graduate. A loving partner. A sister. A daughter. A Priestess. Someone with a 140+ IQ, if those darn things really mean anything (and I'm not convinced that they do.). I love horror movies and documentaries. I love shopping, chatting with friends, and coffeeshops. I'm kind of a homebody and not a party girl anymore..I got that out of my system in my twenties. If you met and spoke to me, depending on my mood, you probably wouldn't notice it at first.
But I'm also Bipolar.
I was only just properly diagnosed, after a journey too long to fit in this tiny box here, very recently, with Bipolar Type 1, Rapid Cycling with Mixed Episodes, and with "co-morbid" ( a really horrible sounding term for co occuring conditions) conditions I won't get into here. That's probably one of the more "Severe" forms of the illness, but I don't think that any of them are a day at the beach and each individual experience is different. "Severe" or "Mild" is all relative.
Anyhow, this is my little blurb for awareness. It's treatable, yes, but I'll never be "cured". One day I will be able to live with it better. I'm at the start of my journey now, and I've got a long way to go, but I've got the building blocks for a good start:
1. A good GP and a good Pdoc.
2. Medication, and #1 that can help manage them.
3. A good support system.
And..looking to start therapy soon.
Bipolar folk are about 3-5% of the population. Quite a bit when you think about it. I included a link below in the awareness ribbon for you to follow to learn more.
Many live with mood disorders. We're no different than those that live with diabetes, renal failure, crohn's disease, cardiac illness, or other health challenges. We need support, we need understanding, but we don't need pity or stigma.
Having questions is ok. But bear in mind that we aren't just "Bipolar" and don't always want to talk about our illness. When I have a friend over, I want to talk about the same stuff you do often. Sometimes, I need a break from discussing the side effects of meds and such.
We're everywhere in society and belong to every social/cultural/economic/religious group you can think of. Take the time to learn something about Bipolar and other mood disorders when you can, because chances are someone you know or will know will live with one.
Many Blessings and Thanks for reading!
