Understanding balance is not possible…

Concept of balance and harmony. White rocks zen on the sea with a chakra balance watermark demonstrating energetic balance.

When you think of balance, what do you think of?  Does your mind take you to balanced perched rocks?  Perhaps then a spiritual aura balance of chakra energy?  Enough time in the day to do all the things you are expected to do?  For most of us, we will identify with one of these concepts of balance.  There are of course many others but for this, let’s focus on the most common that we feel.  Personally, I experience all of these and many others!  When you ask many people, what it is they seek in their life improvement, they will tell you that they would like a better balance on x, y, z.  Let’s examine what balance is defined as.  In the most basic definition, for this post, balance can be defined as a state in which different things occur in equal or proper amounts or importance in one’s life.  Our equilibrium is at optimum and we are in a perfect state of homeostasis.  This is the dream many of us have had over our years on this beautiful spinning home, we call Earth.  As I continue to walk my path and evolve as a person, I begin to truly see things differently.  I see things not only more precisely as well as more softly.  What is this nonsense I have written?

OK, let me break it down a little bit from my perspective.  The goals in my life have always revolved some sort of balance in my life.  I want a better work, life balance.  I want a better work, life, spirit balance.  I want a better balance of ALL THE THINGS!  Now, I just look at all of that and roll my eyes.  Balance, by it’s very nature is precarious.  If you pull just the right rock from that pile in the picture above, the entire structure will collapse and the balance, undone.  If you have a precise amount of time planned in your day for travel time to and from work.  Let’s say, you do not allow any “wiggle room”.  You must leave and arrive at the appointed time only.  You are driving to work and someone gets in an accident and now you are sitting in traffic and going to be late.  You cannot apply one analogy to the other, they are completely different concepts of balance but can tie together if it is time that you seek to bring your balance of life, work, spirit.

Do you see where this is going?  If one little thing shifts, the structure *can* fall.  Your homeostasis is false in that you think you are balanced but what you are doing is avoiding new experiences and possibilities in rigidity and therefore your homeostasis will disappear and you will again struggle to regain that position.  A grain of sand can shift the wind, the wind cannot shift the cliffside so easily.  I do not know but in my head, this makes sense.  I am leaving out things from my life, I am not experiencing things in order to work ever harder on this balance that is always out of reach.  It is the goal of many of us, to rise to challenges and to do better than we did the day before.  In this we are always seeking that balance because it’s never quite right and we can do better.

Is this process a futile practice?  Definitely, not.  I know I just said that it’s not attainable and as a result, would it not be understood that to waste energy in such endeavors would be ridiculous.  Except, that’s not what I really said.  That last part, we all read that.  I read it and sometimes I type it and believe it.  In working to achieve these balances, to better ourselves, we are in essence finding a balance of possibilities and experiencing new things.  I still do not believe balance is possible, if we were perfectly balanced we would cease to truly learn and grow as we would not seek out new experiences.  Why seek out these things when we have attained balance?  Interesting and random thoughts rolling around in my head at 11pm at night when I should be in bed, with getting up for work early tomorrow.

Magick of the Moment

Altar from September. Some of the stones have changed but the feeling is the same.

Altar from September. Some of the stones have changed but the feeling is the same.

A lot of things have been floating in and out of my head lately.  Some of them about life and weight and health while others are about how I can, energetically and spiritually get through this dark night and continue my personal evolution.  Each thought that comes to me I try to acknowledge it so that I can hopefully remember it.  Right now the magick of the moment is daily practice of my path and finding health together.

What is daily practice?  As with all things, it’s a matter of perspective.  Each of us will find something different that is vital to our spiritual growth and well being.  For me my daily practice is simple, elegant in a manner and meaningful to me.

I have a friend who has not had “sacred space” readily available for about three years.  That’s not to say she’s stopped practicing just she’s been doing it on the fly and nothing of permanence has been set up for her in her own home.  I took some time today to help her do some cleaning and I set up some sacred pieces for her then smudged.  The house definitely felt different after the fact and I can tell that things will start to improve for her.  I see things getting better.  She just needed someone to come in and help her get it started after a move.

Anyway, I digressed greatly.  Magick and Practice does not have to be these big grand gestures.  They do not have to follow a formula or a specific set of correspondences.  Do you FEEL something different?  Then go with it.  Spirit calls to us in different ways.  Why do we have to follow the “old rules” when life changes and evolves?

Do the Gods appear differently to you?  That’s ok.  Is your altar set up in the North?  That’s ok.  Do you prefer a crystal for a wand and an antler for an athame?  That’s ok too.  Spirit is fluid.  Some of my own personal practices go against the grain.  I do sacred showers instead of baths for ritual cleansing.  I use stones at the directions to correspond.  I do candle magick daily and with simple candles and intentions.

Gemstones are a huge part of my practice and I ALWAYS have them nearby so that I can draw on their wisdom and energies to keep my stresses lower and my light brighter.  Right now on my altar is Black Moonstone. Aqua Obsidian, Skeletal Quartz, Chlorite Phantom Quartz, Clear Quartz, Red Hematoid Quartz, Pink Lemurian Quartz. Tibetan Lemurian Quartz, Selenite, Kambaba Quartz and finally Opal Aura Amethyst.  Each of these lend me their energies throughout the day for various purposes and healing.  If I am feeling stressed…I just take a moment and grab the piece that calls to me and breathe with my eyes closed.  It’s amazing.

If you are a fire person keep a jar candle in your sacred space and light that up every day.  Jar candles such as Yankee, Ashland, and Village have amazing scents and the jars can be reused once they are finished with.  Candles don’t have to be magically poured to work for intention.  YOU set the intention and the purpose for it.

Now go out there and do your own wonderful, amazing and beautiful magick!

From the #FatGirl that likes food

ComparisonTo those of you, that have been with me on this journey for a long time, I thank you for the love and support you have given me.  If you are just joining…strap in, it’s a rockity ride and anything can happen.  Let me summarize for those of you just joining the program.  In April of this year I decided to do something for my health.  I weighed 369+ and could barely walk without lower back + knee pain so severe that I would have to stop after a couple dozen steps at most.  A part of that decision was to begin Isagenix 30 day programs to help me maintain my loss and a support of vitamins that would go along with it.  A little while later, a good friend of mine Katie, started sharing with me her workouts she was doing with Beach Body.  Fast forward a bit.  I added in my own beach body workouts in the way of the 10 minute trainer.  It doesn’t take a lot of time and pushes me beyond the limits that I have.

As of today I have lost about 92 lbs.  I decided to reboot Isagenix as I had to stop workouts and the shakes due to being totally ill for weeks multiple times in a two month period.  Reboot started…I have pains again because I have not been caring for my physical movements the way I should.

Part of the reboot includes each of these things:

  • Daily workout
  • Meal prep to avoid eating out
  • Isagenix shakes and vitamins
  • Accountability group on Facebook
  • Daily accountability with my coach.

It’s a lot of things but the meal prep is the most important for me.  I LOVE food.  I love food that is bad for me.  I love foods that are good for me.  I love potato chips even more.  So where does this leave the #fatgirl that likes food?  I cook my meals so that they are portioned and balanced.  I eat slow cooker roasted chicken breasts, veggies, brown rice, yellow rice, potatoes on occasion and pastas (whole wheat or organic) with spaghetti sauce.

The thing is, I love food so much that I will eat until I am so full that I can’t move and it hurts.  By portioning this #fatgirl actually gets the right portions of food to go along with her movement.  The most important thing for progress is eat better, drink water (need to work on that) and move.

Now for the ultra exciting thing for this #fatgirl.  In January I am going to do a 5K again.  I’ve completed it once and it took me WAY too long to do.  My goal is to do it in an hour or less.  If I can do that I can beat my worst time of an hour and forty minutes.  I am going to start training for it and mean it this time.  I will finish the Color Vibe!

There you are

Continuing on my quest for accepting myself and going against the grain of traditional beauty standards, I say to you gentle reader, be bold and fierce.  Be yourself without apologies.  Granted, that is much easier to say than follow through on sometimes but I shall continue to buck the conventional.  Some of my most recent experiences are quite contrasting in actions and reactions.

Since this whole movement towards health started for me, I have been berating myself for not doing x or y.  I have been religiously using my fitbit to the point that I feel badly if I don’t make my goals for a given day.  Even when I am sick I push myself to complete my self-inflicted goals.  Sometimes they are more like shackles than goals.  I have lost a lot of weight, and my clothes fit me so much better than they have in a long time.  While this may be true, I still have a long road ahead of me with my weight.  I don’t believe I will ever be thin but I’d like to have one less chin.

Through affirmations I overcome the years of negative self-talk and abuse.

Through affirmations I overcome the years of negative self-talk and abuse.

One of the things I have noticed, well one of the many really, is that no matter what I am wearing, feeling or participating in, I am always there.  On a good day, I might dress a little more nicely and put on some makeup.  On a bad day, well I’m in my comfies with my hair pulled up and no makeup.  I don’t wear makeup often but when I do, it adds a little something to my step.  That something is confidence, a little more “me” that I am regaining from long ago in a galaxy far away.

The thing is, that this is not easy and it’s a labor of peeling back layers and years of negative self-talk and abuse from others out in the world.  Guess what though?  No matter what is said by you or to you, at the end of the day you are the only person that will always be there.  You will always find a way to make it through and yes there may be support systems for you to help you.  It’s up to you to make the changes for yourself.

So how do you change what is ingrained into your very spirit?  You start with affirmations.  Affirm that YOU ARE good, beautiful, smart, successful.  Whatever it is you want to be, tell yourself you are that very thing.  Tell yourself everyday.  Eventually the negative and harmful thoughts about yourself?  They go away.  Does wearing makeup make you feel beautiful?  Wear it.  Nails?  Paint them!  Make sure you look in a mirror for your affirmations.  Believe them and they will be.

I’m sure there will be more about this later but this is enough of a start for now. 😉

It’s Elemental – Spirit

There is something to be said for having an accountability partner in writing.  It is keeping me “honest” with writing everyday and working out subjects together can be quite awesome. 🙂  Do you want to see her writings too?  Be sure to visit her on her Witches Diary.  If you like, we’d love to have you join us! Want a witches diary as well?  Just contact me and I will set it up for you!

Today brings us to the “end” of the elemental workings as we focus on that of spirit.  What is spirit?  Spirit is the light and life that brings everything together.  Where does it come from?  What can it teach us?  Spirit is everything and nothing.  The breath of the universe and the spark of divinity that is in everything around us.  It is the alchemy that binds us, moves us, transforms us.  This brings us unity and magick and to the core of divinity.

Absorbing Spirit:

Close your eyes and see yourself sitting silently and alone in the center of a room with nothing in it.  You see the walls and the floor are completely devoid of any adornments and trappings.  It’s simply you and the empty space of the room.  Slowly you begin to realize that you are not in an entirely empty room, there is light twinkling in and out of spaces.  You continue breathing gently and purposefully and notice that the twinkling of light is increasing as you breath until you are encircled by twinkling lights.  Know you are safe in this circle of light it cannot harm you.  With this knowledge you realize you are being surrounded by the element of spirit, the light of that and the universe protect you.

Continue breathing deeply and with each breath, you breathe in the element of spirit.  The light of spirit begins to fill your entire body filling you with an amazing warmth and weightlessness, count how many breaths it takes until you are completely filled with the element of spirit.  What does it feel like to be filled with spirit? Where does the spirit not move cleanly through you Where does it become broken, where does it not exist or move too quickly? See these areas and what they correspond to. Mentally and emotionally allow the element to help repair the damage and the element will exist evenly and throughout.

Once spirit is flowing and pulsing fully within you, you are ready to project it back out of your being, thankful for the blessing of balance it has given you.

Continue breathing evenly. With each breath you project a bead of spirit. You will project the same number of beads of the element that you breathed in. With each exhalation of the element you remain balanced within this element.

Today marks the final day in the elemental work we’ve been doing and I must say that I feel much more balanced than I did when I started this little project out.  Today I feel light hearted, free and filled with joy.  There is a lot to do (like any day) but even the crankiest thing will not affect me.  This process will be one that I do monthly going forward and perhaps more than one element a day not sure but it will be ongoing.  I definitely feel different.

Have you been following along?  Have you been joining me in these exercises?  How do you feel?

It’s Elemental – Earth

Earth Elemental by D_emo

Want a witches diary as well?  Just contact me and I will set it up for you!

I’ve gotten “caught” up in my posts so that none are missing, despite the one being a day late for yesterday’s Water post.  Today I am working with Earth.  Earth, happens to be my weakest element.  There is something very smothering about it in many ways and so controlling.  I have never been able to “completely let go” and soar because Earth seems to just hold on.

What is the element Earth?  Aside from being our bodies, our home and filled with wonder?  Earth grounds us, protects us and shelters us.  Earth is a great provider.  Our food is of the earth, we are enriched by it’s beauty, we are in awe of the destructive forces it can unleash upon us.

Absorbing Earth:

Close your eyes. See yourself sitting calmly in nature (someplace where you can touch the ground such as a forest, cave or meadow). Nothing exists but you Earth around you. Feel the texture and weight of the Earth around you. See how the Earth moves with each breath you take. Breathe deeply, Earth does not become agitated , but appears to be swirling gently around you. It is creating a circle around you. Know that you are safe in this circle of earth. The earth cannot harm you, but is protecting you. Nothing exists but you and the circle of earth which has surrounded you.

Continue breathing deeply, with each breath you are being filled with the Element, you are breathing in the element itself. Slowly the Element begins filling your being. Count each breath in, Keep this count, see this as a bead, how many breaths does it take for Element to fill your being? Remember this number. The characteristics of Element have filled your being. What does it feel like to be filled with earth? Where does the earth not move cleanly through you Where does it become broken, where does it not exist or move too quickly? See these areas and what they correspond to. Mentally and emotionally allow the Element to help repair the damage and the Element will exist evenly and throughout.

Once your Element is flowing evenly and steadily, you are ready to project that element back out of your being.

Continue breathing evenly. With each breath you project a bead of Earth. You will project the same number of beads of the element that you breathed in. With each exhalation of the element you remain balanced with this Element.

This exercise is always difficult for me.  I always feel as if I am being suffocated.  As a result of that it takes me considerably longer to “fill” myself as I have to take it slowly in order to keep the panic of suffocation at bay.  One of the changes I did with this exercise is instead of the “movement” I decided to fill myself and look for cracks or fissures in the earth that has filled me.  I looked and began focusing on the energy centers of my body that exhibited a less than full amount of earth and began working to fill that by adding soil to the whole and shifting it around until the fissures closed.

I think with time this exercise will become easier as the more I work with the earth element the more comfortable I will become with it.  Maybe a few more times and I won’t have a near panic attack. *laugh*

It’s Elemental – Water

There is something to be said for having an accountability partner in writing.  It is keeping me “honest” with writing everyday and working out subjects together can be quite awesome. 🙂  To me it’s always a wonderful thing but when life gets in the way and you miss a day?  Ugh!  Do you want to see her writings too?  Be sure to visit her on her Witches Diary.  If you like, we’d love to have you join us! Want a witches diary as well?  Just contact me and I will set it up for you!

I missed writing yesterday, I did the work but never got a chance to get to the laptop to write about it.  The day was quite good in the way it all worked out and sometimes computer free days are nice. 🙂  As I continue working through the elements, yesterday was Water.

Water is a great balancer for me.  When I am feeling “too hot” or in general off kilter Water always balances me right out.  So what does water control?  Well there are a lot of thoughts here rolling around.  The body is comprised of a majority water and “liquid” cells.  Water lubricates.  Water is the giver of life, without it we could not survive.  Water is emotion, fluid and joyous.  As with the previous two exercises I used my absorption method from my First Degree training at Sacred Mists.

Absorbing Water:
Close your eyes. See yourself sitting calmly near a body of water. Nothing exists but you and the water, enter the water. Feel the weight of the water around you. See how the water moves with each breath you take. Breathe deeply, water does not become agitated , but appears to be swirling gently around you. It is creating a circle of water around you. Know that you are safe in this circle of water. The water cannot harm you, but is protecting you. Nothing exists but you and the circle of water which has surrounded you.

What does it feel like to be filled with water? Where does the water not move cleanly through you Where does it become broken, where does it not exist or swirl too quickly? See these areas and what they correspond to. Mentally and emotionally allow the Element to help repair the damage and the Element will exist evenly and throughout.

Once your Element is flowing evenly and steadily, you are ready to project that element back out of your being.

Continue breathing evenly. With each breath you project a bead of Water. You will project the same number of beads of the element that you breathed in. With each exhalation of the element you remain balanced with this Element.

From the base exercise (above) I made even more modifications today.  I was out and about doing my weekend walk with my husband and pups along the waterfront & ferry terminal.  Due to the hustle and bustle about me I made this a little shorter of an exercise.  I took a few moments of “me” stretch time and sat along the guard rails while they walked on ahead.  I closed my eyes and breathed in the water of the Bay.  The water here is a little different than I am used to so the inner buoyancy that I received was significantly more.  My emotions bobbed up and down with each breath and soon I was completely filled up to the brim.  The emotions floated in this water and slowly became saturated.  They were “weighed” down so that they were more palpable and easier to work with.  As I ended this exercise I breathed out the water in the same breaths as in.  When it was all left I felt cleansed, balanced and blissful in heart.

Would I do it this way again? Yes I think so.  It might have been a little more effective than previously done in fresh water baths and pools.  I felt peaceful and delighted and remained that way for the rest of the day.

It’s Elemental – Fire

Want a witches diary as well?  Just contact me and I will set it up for you!

In continuing the theme of working with the elements, my next step is that of Fire.  As with yesterday I begin by doing the fire absorption exercise that I modified from my first degree training at Sacred Mists.  These exercises are actually quite good to maintain some balance within the elements and within your body.  I recommend doing them regularly and am working on adding them back into my practice for at minimum monthly to help keep my balance in place and to gain strength in working with each element.

Absorbing Fire:

Close your eyes. See yourself sitting calmly next to a camp-sized fire. Nothing exists but you and this fire. Feel the warmth of this fire. See how the fire grows with each breath you take. Breathe deeply, the fire does not grow in height but in general size. It is creating a circle of fire around you. Know that you are safe in this circle of fire. The Fire cannot harm you, but is protecting you. Nothing exists but you and the circle of flame which has surrounded you.

Continue breathing deeply, with each breath you are filled with warmth, you are breathing in the element of Fire itself. Slowly the fire begins filling your being. Count each breath in, Keep this count, see this as a bead, how many breaths does it take for Fire to fill your being? Remember this number. The characteristics of fire have filled your being. What does it feel like to be filled with Fire. Where does the fire not burn brightly? Where does it burn out, smolder or burn too hotly? See these areas and what they correspond to. Mentally and emotionally allow the fire to help repair the damage and the fire will burn evenly and throughout.

Once your Fire is burning evenly and steadily, you are ready to project that element back out of your being.

Continue breathing evenly. With each breath you project a bead of fire. You will project the same number of beads of the element that you breathed in. With each exhalation of the element you remain balanced with this Element. Count again the number of beads, you must exhale exactly the same number of times you inhaled.

As before I still myself and close my eyes.  Each time I have done this exercise I always feel invigorated after it.  I see the campfire before me and with each breath it grows in size until it surrounds me completely.  Once I am fully circled I begin breathing in the fire allowing it’s searing warmth to fill my entire being. With each breath I become warmer and warmer until there was only fire and an awareness of spirit that expanded with the fire.  My awareness became passion, my breath destruction, my body life.  Energy imbalances burned away to ash and from deep within I felt alive and in every candle, every volcano and every burning fire.  From the ash left behind the world started anew.  Both terrifying and beautiful at once.  I became aware of myself slowly and remembered to breathe the fire out in the same number of breaths I brought it in.  The embers began to cool with each breath and my awareness was coming back to my home where I sat.  The sounds of the dogs and cats and my husband became once again at the front of my mind and the fires had been cooled.  The invigoration of spirit present but of body oddly at peace and content.

Have you tried this exercise?  Does it intrigue you?  What happens when you reach into your own awareness and bring fire forth.  For a few moments let the passion of fire, the destruction and fertilization for growth overcome  you.  Oh yes there is a need for me doing this regularly.  Tomorrow we will journey into water to see what the emotion and life brings to our balance.  Stay tuned. 😉

Beginning anew

It’s been quite sometime since I’ve sat down to write.  The thing is, I get started and do really well for a while then I just stop.  The full stop is not due to any one reason I just seem to stop for no reason and don’t pick it up again for a while.  I know writing is good for me and I know that it helps me stay balanced.  Today I begin anew my daily writing.  This time I am bringing a partner with me to help keep me accountable and I will help keep her accountable as well.  Wynter is a cool chic, check out her Witches Diary Wynterwonders.  Part of our accountability is that we write within an hour of getting up.  I am a little bit more than that so that might have to be adjusted for  weekday mornings when I take Keith to the ferry for work.

To work on getting back into the writing habit I thought I’d pull a card from my two go to decks currently, The Conscious Spirit Oracle and The Chrysalis Tarot.  The oracle deck provides me some visually stunning imagery combined with elemental, chakra energies AND an affirmation.  The Chrysalis Tarot is just absolutely stunning and I connected to it much easier than I anticipated from the pictures I was initially hesitant but WOW love the deck.

Chrysalis + Conscious Spirit Reading as I begin writing anew! October 23, 2014

Chrysalis + Conscious Spirit Reading as I begin writing anew! October 23, 2014

My reading today is pretty interesting.  I wanted to do a reading that sets my day up and what kinds of energies I can expect to be key in my day.

My Conscious Spirit card today is Crystal Ascension with affirmation “I am attuned to the universal wisdom and energy of the crystal kingdom.”  Rather awesome for me since I work with crystals, gemstones + minerals everyday.  Often the energies of stones will guide me in the day to keep me even and balanced.  So very nice to see that for my affirmation today.  It will be a spirit filled day for sure!

My Chrysalis Card today is The Lovers.  Visually this card is just vibrant and filled with such amazing depth.  In it you see the lovers gazing into one another’s eyes with such deep feeling.  Behind them appears a tree, possibly the Tree of Life in the way it is depicted with the sun on one side the crescent moon on the other.  In front of the lovers are a pair of white doves for peace and unity, a horned stag, a horse, an owl, a rabbit, a sheep, an orange tabby cat and the wise old magician.  There is a lot going on here with the animals and their energies combining gives me the amazing sense of intuitive unity between spirit and life.  There is some knowledge at hand that will lift my spirit and personal evolution.  It brings with it the desire to bite into the forbidden fruit, furthering knowledge, wisdom and my path.

The day ahead of me promises to be one filled with some bumps as knowledge and wisdom comes at a price; however, I have the energies of the animals to lean upon and help me through it.  Not a bad start to getting the writing going again and I see this lasting long.

Working with Chrysalis + Conscious Spirit ~ Celtic Owl + Maiden

Chrysalis Tarot + Conscious Spirit Reading for 8/14/14

Chrysalis Tarot + Conscious Spirit Reading for 8/14/14

Continuing on through my days and working on writing more I have a new oracle deck that I am using as an affirmations/daily lesson deck that will go along with my new tarot deck.

This morning I sat down and carved my last Eye of Newt candle (bright orange with sage, sandalwood and peppermint, sad that it’s been discontinued by the chandler) for peace, strength, joy/love and connection to my coven + circle at Sacred Mists, projecting that blessing into that.  You can see a little of the candle in the picture but it’s a 3×6 and just lit so it’ll be a while before the flame is visible in the pictures. Once I lit my candle I looked at my cards for today, unsurprisingly they make sense for me today.

Working with Chrysalis: Celtic Owl – The Hanged Man

What a fascinating card they have made the hanged man into.  Dominating the Card is a beautiful owl with his wings draped across a celtic knot on one side and you can see him gripping it on the other.  Situated upon his brow is another celtic knot that is reminiscent to me of a heart with a spider woman in the center of it.  The hanged man is that of rebirth and to open your mind to new ways of thinking.  The celtic knot is a reminder to see and be mindful of the intricacies of life and it’s interconnected nature.  In the heart knot, I see the spider, the weaver and connector of the webs of life.  In the position and the look of the web this shows me that I must connect the webs of heart and spirit to accomplish my goals and to do so with the patience of Spider awaiting their prey to the web.

There are a great many things that I wish to accomplish so this card shows me that with dedication and the determination of heart I can achieve this.  I must not rely solely on myself to achieve my dreams but allow others to offer their assistance in building my web and dreams.

Working with Conscious Spirit: Forest Frolic – Maiden

This new oracle deck is absolutely stunning in the vibrancy of color and imagery.  A beautiful dryad stands upon a mushroom with her arms stretched. She has taken the form of a winged fairy so that she might play with the butterflies above.  You see joy on her face as a squirrel (!) watches on with a keen bit of interest in her play.  The affirmation here is “I acknowledge my inner child and open my heart to the joy she brings”.  Again I find a card that is very appropriate for the position in my life right now.  Too often we do not stop to relieve ourselves of our burdens and chores to simply play as we did when we were children.  Now is the time for some fun and joy.  It’s a time to return to childhood and enjoy what you did then no matter what it is.  Did you enjoy art, dance, playing in the rain, trees, ocean?  Get out there and do it!  Sing and dance to your hearts content today to relieve your sorrows.

Life, as of late has been filled with things I must do and if we are at all honest with ourselves this is not what we want to do but in order to get things done we must.  Today, I will play.  Today, I will sing.  Today, I will be young!
