A Bit About Isleen
I began as a solitary in 2003 , after having a HUGE epiphany while reading a book given to me by my mother. The book was Wicca: A Guide for the Solitary Practitioner by Scott Cunningham. I struggled on my own for a while, then discovered Sacred Mists Online Wicca College in 2004.
I began learning with and from the many students who joined me in my online studies, and I am most grateful to Lady Raven Moonshadow for providing a safe, warm, and loving community in which to learn and grow .
I strongly believe that we are all responsible for the state of the world, and should therefore become involved in Political Activism to some degree. I’m not saying we all have to become involved in political campaigns, but we should make our voices be heard when it comes to things we feel are important. It is my personal belief that Pagans who do not do anything to protect The Earth and all who inhabit it are not living their Spirituality to it’s fullest.
Plant a tree, sign that petition, write an editorial, boycott This, That or Whatever…and most importantly: Vote. In order to change the world for the better, we must be active and present in the daily events of it. Basically, if you’re not part of the solution, you’re part of the problem.
Wow…nothing like a nice “Hey, you get off your butt and do something!” Intro. LOL I’m really a very friendly person, I swear! ROFL
Don’t be afraid to get out there and do something, you CAN make a difference…as Gandhi once said: “Be the change you want to see in the world.” If we all lived by those words, the World would be a much simpler place. 
*update 2/2012* In the last 2 years I have become a small business owner (Lovely Little Online Shop: Isle of Enchantments ), and I have also begun to be active in my local Pagan Community. I have begun studying with a local Coven as well, and am currently petitioning for membership.
The people of Sacred Mists are still a big part of my life. I am currently a homework grader for the the first portion of the 1st degree program, and have been a part of coordinating the Student Yule Exchange 3 years running.
Whatever the future holds for me and my Path, I will be forever endeared to those who have helped me along the way.
